Kim Kardashian on pregnancy with Kanye West's baby: 'It's not as easy as people think'

Star of 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' says she hasn't suffered morning sickness, but has endured a little pain

She doesn’t have morning sickness, but Kim Kardashian says it's a stretch to call her pregnancy pleasant.
“I wouldn't say that it's been easy," the reality TV star told “Entertainment Tonight” at a New Year's Eve party in Las Vegas Monday night.

“When people say pregnancy is fun and they love it, I would have to disagree," she said. "It's not as easy as people think. It is, you know, a little painful. There's a lot of growing pains."

Rapper Kanye West’s baby mama said she managed to get through her first 12 weeks without any nausea or vomiting, so she's hopeful things will get even better.

"I think from this stage on it does become easier and funner," she told “ET” on the red carpet for the Mirage resort's 1 Oak nightclub. "I heard it's all worth it, so I'm looking forward to that, and I'm excited."

Asked if she was tired as others counted down to midnight, the buxom beauty said she takes "lots of naps" to compensate for her whirlwind schedule.

In a separate interview with Us magazine, she revealed she wants to learn her baby’s gender before giving birth.

"Of course I want to know. I can't find out yet, but I do want to know," she revealed at the Sin City shindig.

"It's definitely an adjustment learning about your body and stuff like that," she told Us.

Kardashian, 32, hit the 1 Oak party just a day after West, 35, dropped the baby bombshell during a performance in Atlantic City.

The happy couple raced from New Jersey to Los Angeles early Monday and then high-tailed it to Vegas for Kardashian's long-scheduled paid appearance.

Clad in a see-through black mesh dress with strategically placed appliqués, Kardashian mugged for the cameras as she cuddled and kissed her beaming beau.

The spotlight soakfest was in line with Kardashian's highly public persona and a stark contrast to the report she and West plan to keep their infant far away from any TV cameras and out of the family biz.

According to TMZ.com, the parents-to-be have decided their newborn will not appear in a "Kim Gives Birth" special or on any reality shows for that matter.

They want to "ensure real privacy" for the celebrity spawn, an unidentified source told TMZ.

Just how private may be up for debate: E!, the home of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians," is already making plans.

“Like so many Kardashian fans, we love it when this close-knit family gets even bigger. We look forward to sharing the joy as they prepare for more diapers, more bottles and without a doubt, more fabulous baby wear," E! President Suzanne Kolb told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement.

In the meantime, Kim’s “momager,” Kris Jenner, has solicited offers from national celebrity magazines for an exclusive cover story on her daughter’s pregnancy, a well-placed source told the Daily News.

wait til the baby is born. i remember when william was born and it was bananas. there is a huge difference between a baby between a rap star and reality celeb and a baby that will potentially sit on a throne someday
yungrapunxel 2nd-Jan-2013 01:31 am (UTC)
lmao how old are you?

if you were alive/old enough to remember the reaction when prince william was born you need to get off the internet

wow i may not agree w/ a baby being important b/c it's going to sit on a thrown that means nothing but represents imperialism, but that ageist comment toward you was rly rude.

hollis1975 2nd-Jan-2013 01:50 am (UTC)
yeah i realized my comment sounded stupidly elitist. i meant in the scheme of history( i am an amateur historian. i see kate and wills baby as a jigsaw piece) ALL babies matter in the long run. i admit i have massive hopes kim's baby will shock the world and cure cancer or something amazing.

and there are a few ageist people on ONTD. its like they think once you hit 30 you lose all your brain cells and lose any right to an opinion outside of what underwear to put on.

You tell him, baby. I am older than you. Stupid little kids will grow into facepalming adults. Or the sort of people who do Munchausen by internet.

idk why they're trying to argue with you. will and kate's bb is gonna be headline news whether anyone likes it or not. ppl act like it wasn't just like 2 yrs ago that people were going crazy about their wedding.
i doubt kimye's baby coverage will be bigger than blue ivy's birth.
hollis1975 2nd-Jan-2013 02:05 am (UTC)
i would be SHOCKED if kimye's baby reached blue ivy level. but i think the interest level is coming from a different place.
nicolesnitchie 2nd-Jan-2013 11:07 am (UTC)
