Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Hudson have a lot in common, specifically when it comes to balancing their careers with motherhood.
Now Simpson, 32, and Hudson, 31, have one more similarity to add to the list – they've both shed serious pounds thanks to Weight Watchers.
The spokeswomen for the weight loss company met when they shot their first joint advertisement – which will be available on PEOPLE.com on Wednesday – and discussed their lifelong struggles with their weight and body image.
Hudson says she figured she was "just born that way," while Simpson added that she was "always on some new life-stopping diet."
Simpson – who lost over 50 lbs. on the program – recently announced her pregnancy on Twitter.
But the mother to 7-month-old Maxwell Drew, "will not be following the [weight loss] program during the pregnancy while her weight and well-being are monitored by her obstetrician," Weight Watchers said in a statement.

Her face looked different (weird) during her last pregnancy. Her features don't hold up well when she's pregnant.
And even then, I think all that skin would sag, no?
Anyway, I'm a dick. I hate ragging on women's bodies but I judge faces like the asshole I am.
like what?
I am only 10lbs above my 'healthy weight' range, tbh...but my body is naturally very thin and I have a lot of extra weight right now so for me, healthy is 55lbs thinner.
just gonna try being more active, eating healthier and cleaner, etc.

My eating is pretty good now, but I need to cut more sweets out of my diet. I need to work on the amount of time I spend exercising as well.
i'm not overweight, but i gained a little bit of weight the past few years and it sucks.
so i got back into running and i'm running a half marathon in may...people keep telling me i've lost weight, so yahhh.
I did it by not counting calories. I have simple rules for myself. If I eat a carb, I always pair it with a protein to minimize insulin spikes and I ONLY eat complex carbs. Along with those two rules, my diet consists of lots of raw or steamed veggies, good fats (like nuts), and some fruits. I basically keep a balanced diet of 25% proteins, 25% complex carbs, and 25% good fats (yogurt, 1% milk, good cheeses) with veggies & fruits in between. Along with a balanced diet, I do 3-4 workouts a week of 20-40 minutes of high-interval cardio on the treadmill. HIIT is one of the most effective methods for fat loss but can be very strenuous depending on how you do it.
I found the Insulin-Resistance diet to be a great basis for constructing my own diet. I started eating better because of it the last two years and it's very easy for me to lose weight now.
It's just trying to maintain it that can be hard... but I have other stress in my life right now that has stunted my progress.
I'm going back to doing Zumba, but I'm going to use Youtube because most of the classes are too early (I don't get home from work until after 7.)
Plus there are weddings to attend!
