Justin Bieber goes to the Clippers basketball game in Los Angeles yesterday


Justin Bieber looked like he’d gained a new friend in the form of Christopher Emmanuel Paul II as he attended the Los Angeles Clippers game.

The 18-year-old singer watched the match with the three-year-old son of basketball star Chris Paul.

Arriving at the Staples Centre, the Beauty And The Beat singer probably melted many girls’ hearts as he cuddled up courtside.

Watching the LA Cippers victory, it seemed that Justin thoroughly enjoyed himself.

Well, Michael Jordan kinda transcended sport and his sneakers and apparel appealed to every hood dude to the geeks in the suburbs. These sneakers in particular originally came out in 1996, and were amongst the most popular of all-time. I remember when they first came out, I was in middle school, and my brother came home with them, and I thought that my parents didn't get me a pair, and I cried and threw a tantrum and then they had to show me that they got them for me, but originally they were going give them to me as a surprise for doing well in school. Oops. Every time this model comes out it sells out immediately, and when I tweeted out pics of my extra pair yesterday I got offers for over 2x the $185 retail price.

I mean, now the whole sneaker thing has taken on a life of it's own, and it is bigger than ever, but personally, I have been into it since 1st grade, which was mostly my dad's fault. It was a way for me to emulate my favorite players and have something they had on the court, but at some point it became more of an addiction than anything.

The J's I know will always be ther, its the fucking Pennys that for some reason are really hard for me to get here in London. Either they got limited stock at the House of Hoops or never my size.
Keeping my eye on Memphis Tiger Penny V's dropping in 2013.

But its been a minute since I had XIs. Had the concord in 96 and the cool greys in 2001, slept on the recent ones.

I'm super late, but I'm a teacher in a ...well, poor as fuck urban area and YES this is why my students care about this with hats. They also do it with a few other items, like certain accessories? But it's a status thing - I could afford this legit thing, or I have this, or whatever.

[It could easily mean different things to different people, but this is 100% my experience with the fad]
