For Your Consideration Ads ------ (Round 3)

As always you can find the previous two rounds here. It's been a slow week with these going up as well just like it's been a slow week overall so I'm sure we can expect a bunch of them next week. Surprises? Snubs? (Keeping in mind not all of these are out yet) Discuss.

Samantha's only been on the West End I think, but yeah she's got theatre experience for sure. Aaron Tveit and Hugh Jackman both have Broadway experience though. Aaron's originated two major roles on Broadway and Hugh has won a Tony for a Broadway musical leading role and has been nominated for his West End work. Anne Hathaway supposedly has had years of vocal training and Eddie Redmayne was a choirboy - not Broadway, but still not total non-singers.

I've seen Hugh Jackman live in his one man show and he's actually a pretty good singer and insanely charismatic in live musical numbers. I feel like he was directed to almost go overboard with the acting and almost purposely stray away from any proper singing. I don't think he sounded as bad as Russell Crowe at all. He actually was impressive in many moments, but Bring Him Home was a major disappointment for sure. (I'm 100% sure they could've gotten a better vocal out of him for that song. No clue why they didn't try.)

Honestly the only one who was consistently not vocally up for the role given was Crowe. His weak vocals really messed with that characterization...

Sorry, that was long. =)
