I have no desire to see this but I have to thank it for rekindling a LOTR craze in me. Much to the annoyance of anyone who is my friend.

If you love LOTR you need to see this. I was surprised at how much I loved it tbh.

Everyone is old and/or ugly tho /shallow. Plus I have never been that interested in Bilbo's story. Altho the old 70s cartoon version is fun to watch for laughs.
stuffwithcandy 27th-Dec-2012 11:26 pm (UTC)
Wait were u saying you're shallow or the movie is shallow? Because saying the flaws in it are that everyone is old and ugly makes me think you had to be talking about your own preferences...

idk I didn't think I could handle 13 dwarves (I was all about Legolas and Aragorn) for 3 hours but they made them likable/some of them fuckable.
she_kender 28th-Dec-2012 12:19 am (UTC)
It had plenty of eye candy for me. I couldn't take my eyes off Majestic Thorin... one complaint - not enough screen time for that hottie Fili!
limberwolf 28th-Dec-2012 01:35 am (UTC)
spoken like someone who didn't bother to see the movie

kili, fili and thorin are totally hot, even bilbo (but i think martin freeman is hot so w/e)
clubland 29th-Dec-2012 12:33 am (UTC)
Not true, Kili is fine as hale. And Thorin is a boss.
mjspice 28th-Dec-2012 03:48 pm (UTC)
Exactly. I'm still fangirling over it.
gee 27th-Dec-2012 11:30 pm (UTC)
IDK. Hobbits are boring to me, Frodo and his flop self was like the least fav aspect of LOTR for me tbh. Which is ass backwards I know. But I love pm...everyone else's storylines. My ideal would be just Legolas/Gimli/Aragon going on adventures with guest appearances from Gandalf. And ents.
ecrivais 28th-Dec-2012 12:35 am (UTC)
Because I heard this movie has terrible visuals and is bloated and they bloat Thorin's story and the action in order to create huge action sequences in three films.

Not interested.

this is soooooooooooooooooooo true! my sister and i have completely agreed that the hobbit is basically a happier mor uplifting version of tlotr. I mean the dwarves lost their homes to dragons and all.. but it's seriously much better than middle earth going into world war.

edit: and watching it on screen is so much better than reading the hobbit on black and white. i've attempted so many times to read the hobbit and get distracted. every. time. it's so boring.
