when we were let into the theater for les mis, my friends and i kept jumping to different seats because we kept hearing ppl around us saying that they might just burst into song w/ the movie lmao.

thankfully, no one actually did.

God, my sister is going to be sitting through the whole thing sobbing and singing. She is such an embarrassing musical theater kid.
hrhobo 27th-Dec-2012 08:59 pm (UTC)
i could hear somebody sniffling / keeping sobs at bay during the movie and i was like, damn pull it together! i cried during the movie, but it was just hot tears & no sounds.
evilgmbethy 27th-Dec-2012 09:41 pm (UTC)

When I saw Rent like the day after Christmas some guy burst out a guitar and was playing along with the movie at some points it was really weird. :-X

Everyone moo'd too.
liberateourtime 27th-Dec-2012 09:02 pm (UTC)
wtf do we need to add "musical numbers" to the "no texting no talking no crying babies" list.
hrhobo 27th-Dec-2012 09:03 pm (UTC)
i'd moo too.
__nocturna 27th-Dec-2012 09:27 pm (UTC)
mooooooo
sandstorm 27th-Dec-2012 09:05 pm (UTC)
I think I would have dug that if

A - everyone in the theater agreed upon it, and
B - everyone could sing.
vehiclesshockme 27th-Dec-2012 09:08 pm (UTC)
They did re-releases of Mamma Mia and Hairspray as singalong versions. They were kind of fun.
hrhobo 27th-Dec-2012 09:09 pm (UTC)
i feel like that's why some musical films have singalong showings.

for regular showings... idk why it's so hard for ppl to realize that you are sharing space w/ other ppl. be considerate is always a good way to go about things.
sugary_placenta 27th-Dec-2012 09:24 pm (UTC)
i got second hand embarrassment just thinking about someone doing that.
