Kate Winslet has married for the third time in a ceremony so secret even their parents did not know about it.

The film star, 37, was given away by Titanic co-star Leonardo DiCaprio as she tied the knot with 34-year-old Ned RocknRoll – nephew of Virgin boss Richard Branson.

Only a handful of close friends and family were invited to the intimate New York ceremony. Kate’s spokeswoman last night confirmed that the Oscar-winning actress had tied the knot .The wedding was held in a converted barn and attended by just six friends from each side.

Kate’s kids Joe and Mia from her previous marriages to film directors Sam Mendes and Jim Threapleton were also there. Ned’s brother Jack – who was with him and Kate at Branson’s paradise retreat on Necker Island when it burnt down last year – was best man.

The besotted pair began dating last year and secretly got engaged in the summer Ned, born Abel Smith, is the son of Branson's sister Lindy. e works for his uncle on the Virgin Galactic commercial space flights project.
