'So depressing and communist!' Milla Jovovich shares adorable childhood picture from her days in Russia

She's one of the hottest actresses in Hollywood, with movies including Resident Evil and The Fifth Element under her belt.
But before Milla Jovovich hit the big time, she was just a regular little girl.
The 37-year-old actress shared a picture of herself as a child, complete with adorable pigtails and huge hair bows.

She captioned the shot: 'Awww! Found this old baby pic if me from Russia in the 70's! So depressing n communist! Too cute!'
Milla was born in Kiev before her family moved to California when she was five years old.
She then went to school in Los Angeles, but found it difficult to lose her accent and her past, revealing in a previous interview: 'I was called a commie and a Russian spy. I was never, ever, ever accepted into the crowd.'
Milla then left school at the age of 12 to focus on her modelling career and landed her first professional contract when she was 13.
Since then, Milla has starred in countless films, including the Resident Evil franchise, and most recently reprised her role as Alice in the latest installment Retribution.
And Milla, who has five-year-old daughter Ever with her director husband Paul W.S. Anderson, recently revealed that she finds it easy to relate to Alice because her character is a mother, which is what the brunette beauty 'likes most' about the movie series.
She said: 'I think women here in the US maybe feel like she's dressed sexy and with a gun and that's just so obvious.
'The thing I've always liked most about Resident Evil is the fact that Alice is a mother and, apart from the chaos and the violence and the bloodbath, the essence of the story is about a woman trying to save a child, which everybody can relate to - especially women.'
