stupidity and ignorance all over the place


Zayn Malik is a Muslim, and according to their religion, should not celebrate Christmas. One Direction singer was heavily criticized by Muslim fans because they feel that he is betraying their religion.

The reviews on Twitter were swift. The boys of One Direction have completed their presentation on The X Factor USA, in which they sang Kiss You, and now they are in England. The singers will spend Christmas with their families, and it seems that Zayn Malik will too.

IDGI either? My bff wishes me happy xmas every year and all that too and she's Muslim. Why do people have to be so pressed and disgusting like this? And isn't his gf celebrating xmas? Wouldn't he prob be doing that with her and with his friends too?

My best friend is muslim and we're going to exchange gifts this year like every year for the past decade. She has a tree in her house and her mom complained about it but my bff objected that in her mom's native country (Morocco) they put christmas trees and have santa claus too. Plus Jesus is also a muslim prophet, so...

I'm Muslim too and I think people are overreacting but Christmas really isn't for Muslims to celebrate. It just isn't. However, I've been to a few Christmas parties myself and I know so many Muslims that celebrate it as well.

I have a Muslim friend who works at a Christian daycare. I hadn't realized before she told me that most of the stories/ teachings are very similar. She also says Jesus is considered a prophet in her religion, so she feels it is okay to celebrate his birth. I know she does not speak for all Muslim people, but I found what she said very interesting as I know little about her religion.

Tattoos are allowed in his religion, he's a Muslim Shia which is like the equivalent of being in a different denomination.

because in my community tattoo isnt allowed same goes to nail polish, but because nail polish not permanent and can be erased so some of us doing that as long as not painted it when we prayed. *i am muslim but not shia obv*

but again although it isnt allowed some people doing it anyway, so it's depend on the person.
