If you thought Once Upon A Time‘s winter finale was bananas — and, to be fair, it really was — just wait until you see what’s cooking in Storybrooke for the show’s Jan. 6 return! According to the official description for the episode, titled “The Cricket Game,” Regina (Lana Parrilla) is “accused of murdering one of the town’s most beloved fairytale characters.” And you’ll never guess who comes to her defense…
Emma (Jennifer Morrison)! Yes, Regina’s former mortal enemy is apparently the only one in town who “senses that she may be innocent.”
Regina’s troubles continue during a flashback to the fairytale land, as Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Charming (Josh Dallas) plan her “public execution in order to rid the land of her murderous tyranny.” (Whoa, dark much?)
Of course, we know Regina isn’t actually executed, so it’ll be interesting to see how she wiggles her way out of that one.
Meanwhile, in present-day Storybrooke, Charming and Snow celebrate their long-awaited reunion — clearly unaware that Cora (Barbara Hershey) and Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) are lurking in the shadows, plotting their next move.
To sweeten the pot, the good people at ABC have released a whopping 26 images from the winter premiere, so check ‘em out!

lol I just saw the pic under the cut and was like OMG LUKE'S! (and I'm rewatching a gg ep right now too lol)
For a moment I thought Once upon a time was from the WC but indeed it's not so it really wouldn't make sense to use the same sets as GG lol
