No policy about it? UM you're disabled, and on LIGHT DUTY in that respect. So they don't just get to choose to work at home because they want to, it's about making accommodations for an injured employee.

You should talk to your department of labor, seriously. They're fucking you around and it sounds like they're going to try to fire you anyways, this is not okay at all. You need someone who knows the laws and your rights.

Brenden suggested I look into disability offices but everything I can find for my area is all about long term and not short term. My cousin was telling me the whole thing sounds fishy and is talking to a lawyer friend of her's about it. :\

I hope your cousin's friend can help. Is your actual boss the same douche one that scolded you when you were crying after a co-worker death?

That's the one.

Have you just been looking at their websites or brochures, or have you talked to them personally about your situation? Sometimes it's not always laid out in writing on those places! They may also be able to tell you where to go if they can't assist you, don't feel bad about asking for help or guidance for this.

This does sound fishy and extremely wonky, they seem to be treading some real fine lines. If they fire you, they will be looking at an unemployment claim and you'll have a strong case when you say you could work from home but your boss shot down the idea because that's showing you can work, they won't work with you. BIG NO-NO!

Please speak with the labor department. You don't have to give them information about your employer originally, just tell them the situation and ask if there's anything that can be done. If there is, then you can start putting down names, etc. Otherwise they're going to get away with this shady shit and you're going to be fucked either way. It's so ugly, I hate them, I really do. This is just unacceptable.

call your local labor board too. that's some sketchy shit theyre doing and im sure it violates or comes pretty fucking close to violating labor laws regarding disability accommodation.
