Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's wedding photos are totally boring - surprise!

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are no strangers to a sea of cameras aimed at them. But when they decided to marry, they wanted to celebrate in privacy—and in style. And while they remain protective of images of them on their most heartfelt occasion, they graciously let us share pictures of the elements we created together.

Blake's cloudlike silk tulle gown featured a fitted bodice, illusion crystal beading on the shoulders, and rose-gold embroidery. Jeweler Lorraine Schwartz forged Ryan and Blake's wedding bands.

Weddings' style director Kate Berry created Blake Lively's lush bouquet of pink jasmine, andromeda, dusty miller, and blushing bride hydrangea. She dipped select petals in subtle rose-gold glitter to play up the embroidery of the same color on the bride's couture ballgown by Marchesa.

An avid cook, crafter, and baker, Blake envisioned an abundant dessert table overflowing with their favorite treats. The focal point was their vanilla-and-sour-cream wedding cake with peach-apricot preserves and Earl Grey-milk chocolate buttercream made by Maggie Austin Cake in Alexandria, Virginia.

Thank you. These Pinterest/Etsy weddings are going to look so dated in 10 years.

Yeah, I don't get it either. A wedding I was in back in April was entirely Pinterest-y and I had to bite my tongue so many times. I've been outested from the group because I refused to use the wedding photographs on my Facebook page because the world does not need to see me looking like a human instagram.

I feel bad for doing this, but have you seen this blogger's wedding video? It's a cute wedding, I don't know why they had to ruin it with a super stylized video:

That looks like a cute wedding- the bride looks gorgeous- but the shaky camera thing makes the video unwatchable to me.

wow, i really, really like that tbh hahaa.

i guess it's because in my free time, i like to watch desi (indian, pakistan, etc etc) wedding highlights, and most of the highlights look exactly the same -- same angles, same filtering, same music, etc etc

i think this is refreshing and mostly well done

Some girl on my facebook hired an AMAZING photographer for her wedding, and the couple of original photos from that photographer I saw were beautiful.

Then as soon as the bride got them she threw all of the most instagrammy photoshop filters she could all over them. I would have taken pictures of her wedding with my iPhone for a free dinner and given her the same type of photos.

Well marriages don't last very long nowadays, so they probably want to make it seem like they were together longer.

Weddings are the kind of thing I expect to look dated, though. I'll be kind of disappointed if I look back on my wedding photos twenty, thirty years later and it doesn't look 2010s as hell.

I do not want a button bouquet, though.

I think what most people don't realize is that things that look cute in a thumbnail on Pinterest doesn't always translate into looking good in real life. My friend had all these signs with sayings on them at her wedding. Do those look cute vignetted on Pinterest? Yes, but in real life it just seemed really out of place. I can understand wanting things to look like the era when you're getting married in, but some stuff is just too twee for my tastes, button bouquets included!

one of my friends did her entire wedding based off pinterest. Hand-made her invites out of brown card and tied them together with parcel string, order of service made into a fold-out fan so you couldn't read the bottom lines of each page (also brown cardboard), monogrammed matching custom-made converse, empty vintage-style photo frames to hold around your face in a homemade photo booth, tables named after iphone apps...

I mean she looked gorgeous and the wedding was amazing fun, but definitely a bit... pinterest for my own personal liking.

Yeah, I think I'm more frustrated with the people in the wedding industry who charge insane prices for things that are basically crafts or things embellished to be unique and then inflate the price by several hundred percent. My former friend had a wedding with Pinterest ideas in April and some of it came out alright, but other things looked really off in real life versus a thumbnail on Pinterest. Kind of made things look disjointed in my opinion. She also got charged and arm and a leg because they can and they'll pretend things are hard to get. I also don't think people appreciated the effort all that much either, which was really unfortunate.
