I know this is crazy but... I met my husband online. We talked online for about two months or so, had never talked on the phone, never skyped, no webcams, nothing. Just straight up talking through yahoo messenger for two months. Without ever hearing my voice, or seeing me on webcam, he asked me to move in with him and bought me a plane ticket for the next morning. We had our first conversation on the phone just a few hours before I got on my plane.
I was in an abusive controlling relationship and using my laptop was the only way I was allowed to communicate with anyone (but not on mic, and it didnt have a webcam). So when I started talking to my now husband, I fell in love with him just like the people in the show do. I had made plans behind my then boyfriends back to have my parents come down and help me get away, but they all of a sudden seperated and I didn't want to cause either of them extra stress. The guy I was talking to online (my now husband) asked me to come stay with him. So I packed my clothes up, told my bf I was leaving, and ran as far and as fast as I could with two suitcases. He bought me the ticket and I flew 2000 miles (From CA to AL). I was scared as hell, but thankfully we were both truthful about who we were and we've been married nearly 3 years now :)
