Ian Watkins, the lead singer of Welsh rock band Lostprophets, has been charged with sexual offences against children, police have confirmed.
The 35-year-old, from Pontypridd, has been charged with conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with a female under 13, and possession/distribution of indecent images of children.
Two women aged 20 and 24, from Doncaster and Bedford respectively, have been charged with similar offences, South Wales police said. All three are due to appear in court.
Police said they were naming the man as Mr Watkins ‘in order to assist their investigation’.
Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Peter Doyle said: ‘Specially-trained staff are available to speak to anyone with concerns or information regarding this investigation and a dedicated telephone number has been set up.
‘I want to encourage anyone who has any concerns or information which they think may be relevant to contact us.’
DI Doyle added: ‘Safeguarding children involved in such cases is always a high priority and as such measures have already been taken.’

It's sick if he did do this and it's natural to be heartbroken..
I'd only argue that the bail denial may be more likely a result of the fallout from the Savile case and the current Operation Yewtree going on in the UK because of the level of heinousness involved.
Really praying it's not true, all that's really left now.
