Nope. I made the mistake of going on some pro-gun facebook page and they're saying how if the teachers were armed this wouldn't have happened. Because giving 30 teachers who are terrified and untrained loaded handguns is a fantastic idea.
jaimelannister 14th-Dec-2012 08:40 pm (UTC)
I can't understand how that's a thought that makes sense to a person - what if a kid grabs it and shoots someone by accident?
sumdisaster 14th-Dec-2012 11:44 pm (UTC)
No joke, I saw some commenters on CNN talk about how if each KID had a gun then none of this would have happened.
sugary_placenta 14th-Dec-2012 08:43 pm (UTC)

marmar627 14th-Dec-2012 09:51 pm (UTC)
And I'm sure it would have been wonderful for the childrens' psyches to see their teachers have guns and be in that situation, too. I can't even imagine watching a standoff in a classroom between my teacher and a shooter.
stormer1_1 14th-Dec-2012 09:54 pm (UTC)
They said this about Aurora too. People are fucking beyond stunted in brain growth. All they care about in the end is themselves and their gunz.

squishinator 14th-Dec-2012 10:23 pm (UTC)
and leaving guns in classrooms with small, curious children sounds like a recipe for disaster. What if a child got a hold of it?
venetianglass 14th-Dec-2012 10:28 pm (UTC)
I had a kid throw a stapler at me yesterday (he missed by about 3 inches) and several puzzles two days before (he didn't miss). So yeah, lets put a loaded gun in my classroom.
