But why shouldn't school have security doors? I don't mean metal detectors, but doors. I live in NYC and my two kids have grown up in the public system. All doors open from the inside except for one that has a guard. Visitors must have ID and check in with the guard. What's wrong with that? It protects the kids and stops people from going in.
