I mean, I did a day of billing in school... :P I now record the billing for my office, don't actually submit it but do the data entry for it. I didn't really enjoy the time spent learning about it, but then I get bored with too many numbers and was there to learn terminology, soooo...

I think you should see if it's prepping you for the medical assisting (in this case administrative?) national board exam and if so what is your program's passing rate. If you're just doing it to fill classes on your current plan then don't worry about it. I used to work for an exam distribution company and I was surprised how some people would pass with flying colors and others wouldn't know any o f the answers. I blame the schools.

I hate navigating unfamiliar websites lol but maybe there's a link on here to check if your accredited program has good results http://www.aama-ntl.org/becomeCMA/how.aspx

thank you again I will check. I emailed someone from the school and this is what they sent back to me....

Our class is offered in conjunction with Condensed Curriculum International, CCI. They partner with schools across the US in teaching classes. You can look up their credentials at www.concensedcurriculum.com to familiarize yourself with them. Our Medical Billing and coding Class prepares you for an entry level position in the field. We do offer a NHA (National Healthcareer Association) Certification exam at the end of the class if you want to take it for a charge. Some of the National exams will required you to have at least 2 plus years of experience in the field for be able to sit for their certifications.

The person said she was just a coordinator but gave me the instructors name and I think I am going to email them also.
