Girl, no. They fired Brett Ratner; that Matt Bomer (who hadn't even been officially hired yet) lost the job as well was just a direct consequence of Ratner's sacking. And that was for the 2004 Superman, not this one.

The music at the beginning is by Lisa Gerrard and the score is being done by Hans Zimmer. They both worked on the Gladiator soundtrack, so that makes sense.
