HARRY POTTER STARS SECRETLY FILMING NINTH MOVIE - AGH

hp3andJK

DON'T CRACK OPEN THE BUTTERBEER JUST YET THOUGH - THERE'S MORE TO THIS STORY THAN MEETS THE EYE...
In news that had us spitting out our morning choccy biscuit in excitement (don't judge us) it's been reported that the cast of Harry Potter have been secretly filming a NINTH movie. AGH.
Before you start digging out your wand and queuing outside the local cinema though, there is a downside - the additional film will be a 'mini-movie' - and will only be shown at Harry Potter theme parks. Oh, balderdash.

According to The Sun, Helena Boham Carter - who plays the terrifying Bellatrix Lestrange - and fellow cast members have been filming scenes at Levesdon studios in Hertfordshire over the past few weeks.
A source confirmed: “The cast have really enjoyed getting back together — they are so tight-knit.
“The shooting schedule is nowhere near as long as the films, so though filming has been intense, the stars have enjoyed being able to pop in and out.”
The new film will be shown at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter attraction in Florida, and later at the two new Hogwarts theme parks in California and Japan which are under construction as we speak.
Hang on - the USA gets TWO WHOLE WIZARD BASED THEME PARKS BEFORE WE EVEN GET ONE? Pfff, that's just not fair.

Anyhoo - what we really want to know is what kind of plot line the mini-movie will follow. Will Harry go batsh*t crazy and attempt to become the next Voldemort? Will Ron discover that Hermonie isn't quite bad ass enough for him and start up an affair with Bellatrix?
WE JUST DON'T KNOW. What do you think about all this?

I really want to go the theme park so badly.

I was disappointed :(

Yeah I was, too--and I say this as a stan. I've been a few times since and I've learned to appreciate it for what it is, but building one actual new ride and only having like three stores you can actually enter? I expected more to do and more new stuff, not just taking all the old rides and changing their themes to Potter ones.

The frozen butterbeer is really the only reason I've been back. Lol.

idk, I went there last month and maybe it was just because it was off season, but I LOVED it. I also had read very little of what was supposed to be there so I had few expectations, but I probably spent a good hour just looking at the displays for the stores that you couldn't go in.

That said I'd only been to Universal once ten years ago, so it's not like I could recognize any converted rides. I mean obviously the more stores the better, and if you think of it as a Harry Potter theme park you're going to be disappointed because it's way smaller than any theme park I've been to, but as a like ... theme neighborhood, I really enjoyed my visit.

the fact that they could only add one ride and had to change the rest to the harry potter theme is disappointing but it's a section of the park just like marvel island, toon lagoon, etc so yes it's going to be small

tbh they shouldn't of called it wizarding world of harry potter bc it makes it seem like the whole park is dedicated to it and people tend to forget that they're really going IOA

same. It was small and crowded and you could totally hear/see the other parts of the park, which took out a lot of the magic.

The Forbidden Journey ride was pretty fun though.

Omg @ some of y'all saying you we're disappointed because they only built "one new ride". THEY BUILT HOGWARTS. AND IT'S BEAUTIFUL. I adore going to IOA as much as possible and every time I look around Hogsmeade + Hogwarts, I die. It's amazing, even after three times!

They have very little space to work with at Islands and they're expanding into Universal so shhhhhh!

It's pretty cool! It will be much better with the expansion.

me too :(

It's super neat, but I wouldn't plan multiple days there or anything. My sister and I went straight to that section, then probably walked around all of Universal 3 times before deciding to leave and go to Disney.

I am going there this Christmas. So exciteddddd!

It's nice but could have been SO MUCH MORE

I love it. It could have been so much more, but I still loved it. Not necessarily for the attractions, but the atmosphere. The Three Broomsticks and Butterbeer are my favorite parts and Hogwarts was really well done. If the rumors of what they're going to do with the expansion are true, it's going to be really awesome. I can't wait to go back, tbh.

I loved it so much.
