He also talks a bit about Sherlock starting filming in March and reshoots for The Hobbit. Idk idk. Martin needs to actually be funny if he's going to make jokes. Calling Lucy Liu a dog is not funny, as jokingly as he might have intended it to be. He just comes off as passive aggressively bitter when he does stuff like this or the joking walking off stage at the mention of Elementary thing he did a while back.

Yes, "dog" and other variations of it are used as racial slurs against Asian people. Martin Freeman also has a history of thinking Muslims are terrorists, and has charmingly used the word "poofs" to describe gay people (while badgering them to come out of the closet), and has also lamented not being able to say the n-word whilst repeatedly saying the n-word himself.

Did you ask that question in actual ignorance or are you sarcastically using a rhetorical question to try and prove a point (and failing)?

I've been seeing ads for Elementary lately. Wasn't sure whether it was gonna be shown on Australian tv so looking forward to that.

And Martin is clearly mad he could never grow a haircape as majestic as Lucy's.

Oh wow, not surprised about the OP of this post. She hates on everything related to Sherlock. She's basically responsible for 50% of the Sherlock hate posts on here.

I can't believe someone can still be so butthurt over Benedict Cumbersnatch making negative comments about Downton. She's been practically frothing at the mouth since he made those comments.

I wonder if she actually likes Elementary or if her love for it was simply born out of her hatred for Sherlock?

This is the only post I've made about Sherlock... I think. Idk. I might have made one a few months ago?? I don't remember. I certainly am not "responsible for 50% of the Sherlock hate posts".

I wasn't even going to make this one until bexclare mentioned on tumblr that she was waiting for someone to make a post. So I took it upon myself to make it since no one else had and it was gonna happen eventually.

And I DO enjoy Elementary, but thanks for asking! I love Joan and Sherlock's relationship and it's the only procedural out there that holds my attention nowadays. I appreciate the concern for my TV viewing experience though!

It was deadpan sarcasm/ compliment disguised as an insult. He's made similar jokes about Jude Law as Watson.

Even if you think the joke fell flat, I don't really see why everyone's going berserk.
