LINDSAY LOHAN I Can Barely Pay My Rent

Lindsay Lohan's financial situation is so dire, she is struggling each month to pay the rent on her Beverly Hills mansion ... TMZ has learned.

According to our sources, Lindsay has been scraping together the money to pay her $8,000 rent. We're told Lindsay signed the lease on the home back in February ... when her career was on the upswing and the money seemed to be rolling in.

But according to our sources, when Lindsay's finances took a turn for the worse (like when the IRS seized her bank accounts) she began doing whatever she could to make rent each month, often hitting up friends for money.

Lindsay tried to get out of the lease and move out early, but we're told the owners of the home told LiLo the penalty for breaking the lease was MASSIVE.

So Lindsay is making it work until the lease is over in February and LiLo is telling friends she'll then look for a place in New York.

Maybe Dina needs a roommate.

fair enough but if her deposit required was xxx months of rent, that makes it financially prohibitive for someone who has no money and the irs has seized existing accounts to pony up anything

She needs to move. The most her deposit can be is $20,000 (2 times monthly rent w/o a pet; 2.5 times monthly rent with a pet), and they can only keep unpaid rent & late fees for the time she actually lived there, and to pay for any damages done (which they must provided itemized receipts for)- if the place is still in good condition, she is entitled to her deposit back regardless- so, if she moves, she could come up on around ten grand which would probably help her out.

her place is a busted mess so that rules out getting deposit back plus she doesn't have any money much less $20,000

Her security deposit would already be paid for though, she wouldn't have to pay another $20,000.
