LINDSAY LOHAN I Can Barely Pay My Rent

Lindsay Lohan's financial situation is so dire, she is struggling each month to pay the rent on her Beverly Hills mansion ... TMZ has learned.

According to our sources, Lindsay has been scraping together the money to pay her $8,000 rent. We're told Lindsay signed the lease on the home back in February ... when her career was on the upswing and the money seemed to be rolling in.

But according to our sources, when Lindsay's finances took a turn for the worse (like when the IRS seized her bank accounts) she began doing whatever she could to make rent each month, often hitting up friends for money.

Lindsay tried to get out of the lease and move out early, but we're told the owners of the home told LiLo the penalty for breaking the lease was MASSIVE.

So Lindsay is making it work until the lease is over in February and LiLo is telling friends she'll then look for a place in New York.

Maybe Dina needs a roommate.

LOL $800 I wish. I mean, I pay $500, but I live in Harlem and have three other roommates. And live in a closet.

But seriously, there's no point of moving to the city if you don't have a reason for it. If you aren't coming here for school or because you need to for work, there's just no point. It's a great city, don't get me wrong. I don't think I could see myself living anywhere else. But I NEED to be here for school and because I don't have the same type of job opportunities anywhere else. My best friend had been talking about moving down since I first did, and he finally did this year and I don't even understand why. He wanted to act but immediately kind of gave that dream up and now just works as a barista and stays home because he's too broke to do anything. Because unless you have a good job or live in a shitty neighborhood not too far away or really far away in an outer borough you don't have money to do ANYTHING.

ita. i lived in DC for a few months and i LOVE the city but i do not understand people who just move there to live there. moving to expensive cities without a reason other than you just want to live there is really dumb if you know you're going to struggle and if you really have to be close to a certain city then you can live a better quality life money wise in the suburbs. i just don't get putting yourself through financial hell for location.

IA with DC, i hate driving around there soooo much! ive never understood people who enjoy living in that kind of environment, when IMO its nicer and more affordable to live in neighboring suburbs... but i guess not everyone enjoys the suburbs either *shrug*
