'Glee' casts a new NYADA student and potential love interest for Kurt

Romance rarely survives when one half of a couple goes off to college. Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss) have already struggled with this problem in "Glee" season 4. Now, it may get worse for the Klaine relationship -- the show has cast Oliver Kieran-Jones as a NYADA student, a glee-club leader and a potential Kurt love interest.

Kieran-Jones will come onto "Glee" in the second half of season 4 as a recurring character, Deadline.com reports. With Kurt admitted to NYADA and looking for activities to fill his time, of course the school's glee club would be a top choice.

The new "Glee" actor, a British thespian not well-known in the US, will appear intermittently throughout season 4 and has the potential to return as a regular in season 5 of the series. Kieran-Jones' only American role was as Andrew Lesley in four episodes of "Episodes," although the actor has appeared in such British productions as "Midsomer Murders" and "Foyle's War."

The fact that Kurt will already be joining a student activity does indicate that his NYADA acceptance is effective almost immediately -- even though most such acceptance letters only apply to the upcoming academic year. Why Kurt needs to join a glee club (and why there's a glee club at all, for that matter) at a school devoted to singing and dancing is a question that will hopefully be addressed by the end of the season.

What does this mean for the romantic future of Kurt and Blaine? Despite hints that the show's Christmas episode, "Glee, Actually," would bring the two young men back together, this casting seems to point to further bumps in the road to happiness. But is that a good thing or a bad thing?

This might get interesting, tbh. Like maybe a love triangle?

It was good around the time you started watching, but Ryan Murphy really over-killed it with bringing in more new guests than a talk show host. And the songs aren't even relevant to the plot now-a-days..

Well I started with season 1 on Netflix then started watching the new episodes.

Here's what I said to another commenter just now:

"I feel the same way with this season as a whole. They're trying to act like Blaine and Skinny Legs McGee are supposed to be the new power house voices, but there really can't be any other Rachel.
She has a powerful voice and the quirky personality that made her sort of the lead character of Glee. Now they turned her into a real person, and brought in a bunch of other serious students and Glee lost its charm."

I didn't know it was on Glee! Maybe I'll catch up..
But ITA. Lea was always the reason I watched... She was the centerpiece of the show. My brother was watching it the other day, and the show is def not as funny/entertaining as it used to be.. Also, I always wonder... who is that in your userpic icon bb? I always think it's Tabatha from Tabatha's extreme salon makeover.
