1D land at Heathrow Airport, cause frenzy

When you're part of the biggest boyband in the world, you're going to attract some crazy fans.

But it was too much for Liam Payne on Saturday afternoon when he and One Direction were mobbed by young girls at Heathrow airport.

Through the raucous that came with trying to navigate their way through the female frenzy, Liam received a Chinese burn, after which he went on a Twitter rampage to share his frustration.

'I don't know why people are blaming us for this it's so sad :( when everyone's rushing and make it unsafe we get thrown back in our cars,' the boybander began.

According to photographers, the band's security team struggled to cope with the collective power of the 1Directioners who filled every possible space in the covered car park.

The sheer impact and volatile nature of the crowd really set his emotions off, as Liam continued to describe the experience: 'That was actually horrible I literally wanted to cry and all those people shouting s*** at us and we even tried to stop so s***.'

But as his anger alleviated so did the tone of his messages with the following tweet praising the 'girls with the sign [were a] very nice welcome :) thank you.'

Liam then urged his fans to 'all be calm next time.' before tweeting an image of a scratch he had received during the scuffle: 'Lol I just looked at my arm that's what happens when somebody pulls at your skin too hard #crazyday.'

And after highlighting the slight mark he went on to tweet some more light-hearted comments that suggested amputation may be the only logical option for the flesh wound, 'my scratch is that bad I think I might just have to cut my arm off.'

'The awkward moment when a girl gives you a Chinese burn in the airport,' was Liam's final sign off.

Maybe try to reach out to her irl? Get her number and call her and if things aren't looking better, direct her to someone that can help.

I just asked her if there's a college therapist she can see, and I told her about help lines. I also gave her my phone number if she ever wants to contact me.
