I love cats to bits but I am allergic to most of them really badly. I itch like crazy and sneeze nonstop. My friends' cats are the only cats that don't bother me and I'm not sure what is so magical about them.

i am and i have two cats i just take clarinex or sometimes otc stuff and it helps a lot

Same. I love cats but if i stay in a room with them for 10 mins i don't think i could make it.

i don't have any allergies myself, but my brother is allergic to cats and he's always wished he could have one as a pet. sucks.

I am. Male cats generally aren't much of a problem, especially ones with short hair. Female/long haired cats make me feel like I have the flu.

My sister-in-law is but she loves our cat, but our cat judges her so hard because the only way she can pet her is with like, one finger and then she has to go and wash her hands (because fur causes her to react but my cat doesn't really shed so the mere act of touching her doesn't do much unless she touches her eyes after)

So everytime my cat sees her, she's like 'ugh, this crazy one-finger lady'

I'm only allergic to certain cats. Mostly the longer haired kinds which makes me sad because I like the big fuffy cats :(

Yes. I went over my boyfriends parents house to meet them for the first time around thanksgiving.. and I couldn't take being in there for more than 20 minutes, my eyes were tearing and I wasn't even near the cat!

tbh tho, dogs >>>>> cats so no big loss.

i am and it sux bc i love cats so much. my uncle has the coolest cat i have ever met and i get so stuffed up and red when i pet him but i can't help it.

i want a cat so bad but idt i would be able to deal with my allergies bc they get so bad. i can hardly visit my grandma bc she has several cats and my throat starts feeling like it's closing up. D:
