It's like they worked so hard with Jackman to let him "act" the lyrics, they forgot to tell him it's okay to actually sing sometimes too. He just sounds so weak and sing-talky.

Aaron and Eddie sound awesome.

I'm kind of glad it cut off before the Thenardiers. That sounded awful.

COMPLETELY agree about the hugh jackman part. (haven't really heard the rest.)

I have a theory that one of the reasons the film released that special feature on the creative allowance the actors were given with songs (being able to sing-talk lines during songs) was to prepare the audience for it. I'm sure not it will get on my nerves, will find out on Christmas Day!

That's a good theory. I know I heard the previews and was like "I am unimpressed and not looking forward to this anymore". Then I saw that featurette and decided it would at least be interesting to see how that process turns out.

Agreed on Hugh talking too much instead of singing.

Also agreed on the Thernardiers. I was torn between hoping I'd hear them sing and dreading it. The few notes they had before the host cut in were awful.

Russell Crowe sounds really bad too. Every time I hear a clip now, I think of the ONTD poster who said that he sounds like he's burping every note because IT'S TRUE.
