The guy who wrote the book is the guy who founded the Art Crime division at the FBI. He writes about a lot of cases he had been on, things that went missing, how the FBI needed the Art Crimes division and how Art Crime is so common but is hardly traceable because of how much Art isn't even cataloged. It's so sad when you think about it.. lots of artifacts like pottery, clothing, etc. from ancient sites.
The overlapping theme is about the ISG heist and how they were tracking down the thieves, how they get on the inside, and what went wrong.
It's really a great book!
