They're not in the running anymore to be crowned the X Factor winner of 2012. But the rejected contestants all arrived in Manchester on Friday ahead of the big final, which is being held at Manchester Central. As in all of the previous finals, the contestants will get together to perform a song, support the remaining acts and celebrate once the winner is crowned.
Ella Henderson, Union J, Kye Sones and Melanie Masson arrived together and were greeted by a host of fans, who they happily posed with. Meanwhile, finalist Jahmene Douglas was also spotted in Manchester giving photographers the thumbs up, as he prepares to take on James Arthur and Christopher Maloney on Saturday.
And he is certainly getting the support from his former X Factor co-star Ella. Asked who she's backing to win, she mentioned: 'I like Jahmene and James Arthur,' though she added: 'James has got a really strong following, so I think he might win.'
Mentor Nicole Scherzinger is still backing her two boys to win this year's competition. 'Having worked with the boys a little bit this week, it's quite intimidating. I thought they were amazing, I mean I've been doing this for quite some time, but they were just brilliant, they make it look so easy,' she said. 'It's a real honour to be able to sing with them. I would always rather be on stage than behind the desk, so this is going to be fun for me.'
Gary Barlow, who has managed to bring his act Christopher Maloney to the final that's being held in his hometown for the first time, as said he's impressed with the singer's who have taken to the X Factor stage. 'I think the talent has been brilliant this year, I think we’ll probably see five albums being made out of it,' he said. 'I feel proud. We’ve had a really good crop of talent.'
I will never be over this interview. Bow to Jaymi in all his sassyness
