it's rly weird and has a lot of diff stuff going on (aliens, the devil, mutants, nazis, the list goes on)...it's still entertaining, but a lot more graphic/violent than last season
Depends on your tolerance level and how easily you're triggered by things, tbh. You'll get people who hate it because of the amount of torture porn and people who say people who don't like it are pussies or w/e because it's more actual ~horror~ this season.
I don't hate it, but there have been things I sideeyed a lot and made me really uneasy and uncomfortable. It's not as campy/OTT as last season, but it's also not quite as predictable and the overall performance from the mains is a lot better.
There's like 5,000 plot lines happening at the same time, but supposedly next week will start bringing it all together. The alien thing keeps bugging me... It's been a loose end this whole season so far.
That being said, this was the first episode all season where I was actually bored. It was clear that this was a filler episode to set up the rest of the season.
Oh, and Ryan Murphy needs to STOP with the rape. There are ways to have horror without having to include rape. It's disgusting at this point.
yeah ia it was a bit of a boring ep, but there were a few like this last series too. guess they couldn't really think of anything that shocking w an xmas theme that could relate back to main story
imo they should have just had some xmas stuff in the background and kept on with the main storylines
Do we know exactly how long she was in his basement? I don't have a good grasp as to how much time has gone by, but I figure the pregnancy route is the way this show is going. If she was in there for a couple/few weeks, maybe BF raped her even previous to the time shown on screen?
jude better get to kick some ass before they kill that hbic off. i actually fell for arden's bullshit. i think he may have a real change of heart before the season's over, however.
the monsignor was way creepier than ian mcshane's santa tn, lbr. the way he kept touching mary eunice was making me nervous.
can't wait for lana to destroy thredson.
nhf kit acting more excited to see grace than he was to see alma. what the fuck, i don't even
Oh monsignor is giving me evil vibes that I can't place. I feel like we'er going to learn something about him that will be huge before the end of the season.
i was totally getting that in the flashback scene of him entering the tubercular ward with the other young priest. but that can't be the only dirt arden has on him, right? i mean, the vatican's covered up much bigger scandals than that
For-fucking-real about Grace/Kit/Alma. Wow. Maybe he just feels ~guilty? Doubt it. I think he's just stupid. At any rate, his characterization has gone doooown. I won't miss him when he's gone.
honestly waiting for the season finale to be a crock of shit because of ryan murphy. Also i feel really bad for jessica langes character never thought i'd say that. I seriously thought threadson was gonna rape her again to make a new literal bloodface
I got so excited~ when people posted screenshots of his fourth kid. the fact he got cut because there were too many ghosts~ and Ryan thought it'd be confusing.... NAGL.
Ryan Murphy has an interview on EW.com today saying that Pepper was actually abducted! And the aliens bring her back in the next episode, but changed somewhat (he was very vague on those details).
Why the hell is Sister Jude locked up? That's weird.
Go Lana! Love Sister Mary Eunice, too, and she's so evil.
Jessica Lange is knocking it out of the fucking park this season and she's going to win all the awards again next year.
????????????
bad?

Season 1 was such a trainwreck to me. The Harmons were unbearable and Violate coupling makes me gag.

this episode was surprisingly dull despite all of the fucked up shit happening

just accept it.
The story is finally coming together, finally. I was starting to get worried.
It's only been a few days and pregnancy symptoms don't show that fast, idiots.
I'm not saying she couldn't be pregnant, but she wouldn't be able to tell yet.

Damn it, Ryan! Why you do this?
plus, it looks like mcdermott's bloodyface is going to be the son of her and thredson.

alma was his damn wife ffs

Not all plot threads must be solved. Some can be left hanging and left to audience's imagination.
and i want her to escape of her own accord, not because the monsignor is ~conflicted~ and tries to help
