X Factor judge Tulisa's debut album is a chart bomb

Currently sitting at #17 with 7000 sales, she is expected to drop out of the Top 20.

Despite a performance on the X Factor with a standing ovation - the X Factor judge failed to pull a Cheryl Cole. Early chart figures yesterday showed the former N-DUBZ singer’s debut solo album, The Female Boss, limping along at No. 17.

It suggests that by Sunday, when the full countdown is released, the song could even be outside the Top 20.

It has sold just 7,000 copies in its first two days and new releases from NEIL DIAMOND, JOOLS HOLLAND AND HIS RHYTHM & BLUES ORCHESTRA, and ALFIE BOE are all doing better. Tulisa’s new single Sight Of You isn’t faring much better either.

ROBBIE WILLIAMS, LABRINTH & EMELI SANDE and OLLY MURS have all topped the charts after performing on The X Factor’s current series.

Tulisa’s latest sales are also a long way from her glory days with N-Dubz, whose last two albums both made the Top Ten comfortably.

Even Tulisa’s ex-bandmate DAPPY got to No6 in October with debut solo album Bad Intentions — and he had enjoyed a lot less exposure than Tulisa.

"As she and her X Factor co-stars keep reminding us every Saturday night, it's often as much about having 'it' as it is the voice," agrees Digitalspy, "though whatever the secret ingredient is, it's sorely missing from her own collection."
