X FACTOR hopeful Christopher Maloney has been given a boost – as the WHOLE COUNTRY is voting for him. TV Biz can reveal votes are coming in from the north, south, east and west of the country.

Traditionally X Factor contestants do well if they are from big cities or Ireland, Wales or Scotland. A top source told TV Biz: “It’s like nothing we’ve ever seen.

“When Irish singer Mary Byrne was on the show, the Irish vote was keeping her in. But with Christopher everyone is voting for him.

“It’s not the end of the world if he wins because it will be what the public wants and we’re sure James will get a deal and keep the show’s credibility intact..


Controversial X Factor finalist Christopher Maloney was reunited with his beloved grandmother Pat O'Brien at home in Liverpool today.

Joined by his mentor Gary Barlow, the pair were mobbed by locals as they arrived on the doorsteps of 'Me Nan's' home in the suburb of Brook Green.

The pensioner, who is frequently cited as the reason for Christopher's X Factor journey, had laid on a spread of sandwiches, sausage rolls and eclairs for her grandson and Take That singer.
