Netflix Scores Exclusive Rights To Stream Disney Movies

Netflix and Disney announced Tuesday that they have entered into a multi-year licensing deal that will makes Netflix the only U.S. subscription TV service to offer brand new films from Disney.

Starting in 2016, Netflix users will be able to stream first-run Disney movies on their mobile devices, computers and television. The deal also includes Disney's direct-to-video new releases.

What's more, under the terms of the deal, Netflix users can today start watching classic Disney movies like Dumbo, Pocahontas and Alice in Wonderland, among others.

YESSSSSSSSSSCollapse )

I liked Disney movies as a kid, but adults Disney stans (especially women and those misogynistic princess movies) are so strange to me.
hannahstarr 5th-Dec-2012 03:20 am (UTC)
IA. I have a couple of friends who stan so hard for disney films and I'm just like... you are 25 years old, not a 6 year old who wants to be a princess. Get over it.

near_dark 5th-Dec-2012 03:09 am (UTC)
Laughing at everyone expecting the movies to be up RIGHT NOW.

They don't add stuff until usually 3 am eastern time and even then it may take a few hours and who knows with this stuff, they may wait until the beginning of the next month which is when they usually load up on new streaming titles.
hannahstarr 5th-Dec-2012 03:23 am (UTC)
not that I'm like crying over the fact that these movies aren't streaming right at this moment, but

Netflix users can today start watching classic Disney movies

A little deceptive, no?
