Pretty sure that's already happening. I've already seen pics of Cumberbatch invading the Karl Urban tag, which I do not fucking want. Accompanied by a post about how the person would only watch ST because of Cumberbatch being in it and elevating the franchise to a higher calibre, or some shit like that.

I don't even hate Cumberbatch. I just hate the holier-than-thou Sherlock fangirls. They're the ones I'm already resenting, which in turn is making me resent him before I've even seen a damn trailer.

i think sherlock tumblr stans have ruined the word "lock" for me lol. everytime i see it i feel the need to walk away slowly. it's ruined fandoms for me too, like james bond (BONDLOCK), teen wolf (WOLFLOCK), harry potter (POTTERLOCK). i better not see TREKLOCK.

the other day i imagined someone writing HOCKEYLOCK and then i shuddered. it felt like jonathan toews was giving me the crazy eyes.

I'll be on the front lines, tbqh. I was battling Star Wars fans and defending Picard to Kirk on Prodigy back in 1995. it's pretty laughable to think I'll be able to sit this one out.
