Whilst Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall seemed to have taken hair inspiration from Cheryl Cole's previous plum hairdo, her bandmate Perrie Edwards has looked to a more rocky celebrity icon. Debuting a violet rinse in New York City, Perrie channeled Fashion Police presenter Kelly Osbourne as she cosied up to her boyfriend Zayn Malik on Sunday night. They were joined by the One Direction star's bandmates Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and their girlfriends, but it was Perrie who attracted the most attention with her new lavender shade.
The 20-year old singer's vibrant hair style stood out as she wrapped up in a marl grey winter coat and Dr Martens that emphasised the grungy 90s look favoured by the girl band. Hey boyfriend Zayn kept it just as simple in a white T-shirt black jeans, boots and a navy puffer anorak.
"Hopefully, there will be a next time. The boys said he was totally cool. I kind of regret it for sure and the lads said I was a scaredy cat. "Some of our fans get so excited or nervous when they meet us and that's how I was at the thought of being with Johnny. But instead of lapping it up and enjoying it, I ran the other way."

He is the sweet, talented boy you want to bump into on your first day of college. He has the potential to be that frat boy with a heart who every chick wants to go to the prom with.
We want to put his interview on replay because, let’s all admit it, no woman can resist a man with an English accent. Actors like Colin Firth and Hugh Grant are seasons past their shelf life but we are still holding on to them because of that dreamy accent. Zayn’s wolfy eyebrows and his Jimmy Neutron hair are proof enough that he will never disappoint us as far as making a fashion statement is concerned. Apparently it’s this Paki-Brit’s hairdo that makes Miley Cyrus go ga ga for him. Miley totally eyes Zayn and doesn’t mind cyber-flirting with him. “We’ve spent an hour stalking Zayn from @onedirection,” she tweeted.
Zayn himself is open to public displays of attraction and mocks those who seem too guarded about it. “Clearly some people are not very familiar with flirting :),” (LMFAO) he tweets. But Zayn is not just eye candy and wins extra brownie points for showing off his love of reading on Twtitter. He credits his girlfriend Perrie for building his confidence. Zayn says, “Yes, I’m a big believer in the motto, ‘Behind every great man there’s a great woman’. And she’s great.” That is the most endearing admission of a woman’s influence we have heard in a long time.

Members of the hugely successful boy band One Direction stopped by the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on December 2 to catch a performance of the holiday musical Elf.

2) In a recent interview Zayn confessed to being afraid of girlfriend Perrie Edwards’ brother. “I went up to meet her Mum and family the other month," he told The Sun. “I was a bit scared of her brother to be honest — he’s in the Navy. He’s a big bloke.” He’s in the Navy so spends his time AT SEA. We see a pattern forming.
