Prince William and Kate Middleton Expecting First Child


Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton are expecting their first child, the palace announced today.

"Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby," the palace said in a statement today. "The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news."

I wish I had a LITTLE nausea at this point in my pregnancy so it seemed more "real." Instead I'm just getting cramps (which I have had for a few weeks now) and sore boobs. If the morning sickness shows up I will probably really regret this comment. I'm almost 6 weeks so I guess the worst will probably come.

I have an ultrasound at 7 weeks. If we hear a heartbeat and everything looks normal, it'll feel more real--morning sickness or not. I am counting the days because I'm just worried sick about a miscarriage.

ooh yeah...careful what you wish for. i'm currently 7 1/2 mos pregnant...i wouldn't want to wish for that.

although, every pregnancy is different. my first (she's now 10) i was not sick at all. this one...UGH...it's there not as severe as the first two trimesters. :\

Wait a couple of weeks but be careful what you wish for, I had terrible morning sickness.
But I understand the feeling of wanting the pregnancy to feel more real.

Aww, congrats!! I'm 12 weeks myself, and I didn't get any nausea until about 8 weeks I think. It's been on and off for a month or so, mostly food aversions and smells getting to me. 6 weeks is still really early, so I'm sure your symptoms will change in a few weeks.

Good luck, I hope you don't get anything too bad!

It is so gross and creepy when a magazine publishes a whole pregnancy and a loss of said pregnancy even if it's not real. Who sits around and thinks..hmm our story clearly didn't pan out let's say she lost it!

yep lol: this is the first story (about william and cp), part of an entire series . it's basically about all the male princes and a lot of them are in love with each other and most of the time it's very hand wave-y and not at all realistic lol but it's very well written. the main couple is william and cp and their stories are my fave so i mostly just read their's but they also exist in the other stories about the other princes. i ended up really wanting the whole thing to be true lol which is sad and also because the irl version of these people are not as awesome as they are in fic lulz.

sometimes the heavy diana stuff is hinted at and the way it's handled is so sweet and it gives me feelings lol /ridic i know.

this is all much better than the early stuff i found years ago where it was like, william had a secret lover and then he'd leave him by climbing out the window at eton, and then there was this one fic where a caterer waitress serving prince william food hits her head and wakes up as his sister but it's kind of incestuous? also william/harry exists lol crying.
