Maybe she's born with it, maybe its Herpes

Looks like all that partying with milkshakes in the Middle-East did a number on Kim Kardashian’s skin. The wife and girlfriend arrived at Miami International airport today with a huge red mark on her upper lip.

so you'll just pass on the oral version and they'll only have oral outbreaks? like it won't be on their genitals?
lone_concertina 3rd-Dec-2012 05:19 pm (UTC)
That's been my friend's experience. A guy went down on her with what he thought was a pimple on his lip, turned into a cold sore the next day, and now she gets them on her lip when she's stressed or over-tired. I've had them since I was a kid and never gave head to anyone when I had an outbreak, so idk outside of my friend's anecdata.

yup
idreaminargyle 3rd-Dec-2012 05:49 pm (UTC)
not true, you can get it genitally bb

and cold sores are actually not protection against genital herpes bc a person can have both hsv 1 and 2 and display both orally and genitally

it doesn't happen often, but it happens

I'm not sure where you're getting your info, but both types of viruses can spread orally and genitally and cross between. You can get genital heroes from oral exposure and vice versa, regardless of whether the person has 1 or 2.

haha genital heroes x'D

but so this means i can't do unprotected oral because even if it doesn't show i might pass it on to the other one or even if it doesn't show the other's genitals might pass it on to me? i kind of always thought i just passes on if you have an outbreak/shortly before/after
crazy_internet 3rd-Dec-2012 05:39 pm (UTC)
No, you can have HSV-1 outbreaks genitally. It tends to be less severe, though.

no, it can be on their gentials

the virus prefers the oral area though, but i've only had just the one outbreak and it lasted less than 3 days. I almost dismissed it as a yeast infection but I had 4 tiny sores that didn't make any sense. Turns out i had a minor outbreak on my genitals - I went to my doctor the next day, got tested and I cried for a whole week till I got call "it was just hsv 1, most likely from unprotected oral sex"

thing is the guy who gave it to me was a virgin who must been virally shedding when he went down on me bc he didn't have any visible cold sores when we hooked up. 3 years later he's still my bf hahaha

omg this is only making me more paranoid. like i'm glad i have this info bc i can be careful but omg!!!
idreaminargyle 3rd-Dec-2012 06:01 pm (UTC)
honestly, it's not even a matter of being careful

I was SO SO careful and even though I took every single precaution, at the end of the day I still got genital HSV1 from a fucking virgin who didn't have visible cold sores

all the careful sexual health practice in the world couldn't have prevented that

britaloonie 3rd-Dec-2012 05:57 pm (UTC)
no, it'll be on their junk, but it'll be HSV 1 and will later "migrate" up north to take up residence
a_new_haven 3rd-Dec-2012 06:37 pm (UTC)
No, you can get genital herpes from oral sex and have genital sores.
