I've worked retail a large chunk of my working experience, so I've seen some shit.
While I worked at a UPS store I witnessed: 1) A mentally unstable man have a panic attack and then meltdown. This one was really sad, tho. My manager and I eventually calmed him down and his mom suddenly showed up and took him away.
2) There's mailboxes you can rent and you can have 24/7 access to get your mail since the store supplies people that pay with a front door key. One of our mailbox holders was homeless and used the space to sleep there at night. He scared several late night ppl so we had to discourage him from sleeping there.
3) One time, a lady was so angry at the prices for shipping that she started to kick the display boxes and then she lifted her skirt and squirted pee or something.
4) A man robbed us one night but this was AFTER he paid for his shipping. What this meant was he supplied us with his address & phone number. So we called him up and threatened him with the police until he drove back and returned the money he stole.
I work in a maternity dept right now at a Macy's and the weirdest thing I've seen so far was a few people trying on clothing in the middle of the store, like butt naked, when the fitting room was RIGHT THERE and available.
