1D Wins Best International Artist at the ARIAS

They might have only been in Australia in spirit, but One Direction seemed pretty blinking chuffed to be awarded Best International Artist at the 2012 ARIAs.

Piping massive international artists including Coldplay, Florence + The Machine, Adele and Ed Sheeran to the post, the lads seemed over the moon.

Rehearsing for their whopper of a Madison Square Garden show in New York, they were unable to hop over the ocean to pick up their trophies, but recorded a nice little message for fans instead.

Just in case any Aussies had forgotten what their own flag looks like, the boys even held one up as a reminder. We'd like to assume it may have also been to cover up the fact that in their excitement, Louis, Liam and Zayn forgot to put on any trousers before they left the house.

Tweeting fans to thank them, Harry said: "Thank you to our fans in Australia and everyone at the ARIA awards for voting us 'Best International Artist' We can't wait to see you!"

Tattoos (especially cheesy ones) don't make you look ''bad'' and edgy, Zayn.

And to all of the people assuming he does it because it's ''against his religious beliefs''. He's Shia, tattoos are allowed in his religious sector.

The people on Daily Fail and a few people on here. I remember that there was a post a few months back where everyone was like 'Lol Zayn isn't a good Muzlim cuz he has tattoos'.

he actually has the best tattoos in the band now bc everyone (except Niall) is now getting them and getting horrible ones

and I don't recall anyone saying that about his tattoos and religion but idk

mte, and he's probably about as religious as most people in the uk aka not that much aside from celebrating holidays and praying occasionally. even christian bible also says something about not getting tattoos in leshiticus but plenty of people do it anyway

i had a good laugh when i saw someone get the "man shall not lie with another man" verse from leviticus tattooed as they clearly failed to realize if those old testament laws are still valid, they've just broken one by getting their skin inked #oop
