My grade in my visual communication class went down two letter grades because I got a bad grade on my journal project. Why did I get a bad grade?

Because I didn't number or date my pages. How the fuck does numbering and dating fucking pages warrant taking 70 points from a grade based on 200?

Fucking RIDICULOUS.

That is absolutely ridiculous. I would complain because you did all the work, and, unless the teacher specifically said that points would taken off if you didn't number or date your pages, the points they did take off seems excessive, imo.

He said we should date them, and I can admit THAT, but SEVENTY POINTS? That's almost half! The purpose, it being having the visual aids and written entries was there, and I got a B based on THAT ALONE. Now it goes to an F because of some silly numbers? Fucking NAWL

A lot of profs are very particular with formatting, but 70 points sounds over the top.

OMG so basically he flunked you for forgetting a couple seemingly unimportant steps. I can see docking you and giving you a C from a B because he told you to date the entries but jeezus, that's way harsh.

That sucks. Did you have a grading rubric for this to know the breakdown while doing your project? Some professors can give "easy" points for easy shit like formatting stuff. Ngl, dating/numbering pages is easy no big deal shit and he prob. looked down on you for not getting something as basic as that right.

Possibly complain if there was no rubric given. Because then that shit isn't fair because obviously content is more important.

Did it say you would be deducted points for not numbering or dating your pages? If not, you may be able to get your grade changed. If the teacher isn't willing to do it, I'd go to someone higher than him and complain.
