Even though she has been arrested twicein the last few months and has likely violated her probation, Lindsay Lohan is hoping to avoid any jail time by going to rehab for at least SIX MONTHS, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting!

"Lindsay's manager and agent have been telling her for months that she must go to rehab to save her life. Until now she has resisted, but after her arrest this morning she realizes she needs help," a source close to the troubled starlet exclusively tells .

"It's very likely that Lindsay won't fight the probation violation charges and throw herself at the mercy of the court and hopes to avoid jail time by going to rehab for at least six months."

Lindsay was arrested again early Thursday morning in New York City at the club Avenue after she allegedly sucker punched a woman in the club.

As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported, "Lindsay was completely out of control. She was drinking way too much booze and was doing cocaine," a club insider revealed.

With the latest legal trouble, the source said Lindsay could be facing a maximum of 237 days behind bars.

"Because of jail overcrowding in Los Angeles though she would only serve 25 percemt of that time. The City Attorney will ask the judge to max Lindsay out and send her to jail," the source says.

I dont know if radar is a really good source, but they are saying that the girl she hit ask her for a picture, and that she was out of control, and doing cocaine. If this is not a wake up call for her, i dont know what is.

Let's be real here. Even if she didn't go to rehab, she'd still not get any jail time. Maybe 4 hours max.

the headline says she'd avoid jail by going to rehab, so you're correct. if she gets her way, she wouldn't serve any time.

What I mean is if rehab weren't even in the picture, she still wouldnt go to jail. Maybe for 2 hours, like Nicole Richie.

Yeah it says because of overcrowding, she'd only serve 25% of the time. So she'd serve at most like 2.5 months, but that's only if she were given the max sentence. She'd probably do a week or something.

a week is still pretty long for her, isn't it? doesn't she usually get out within hours? i can't remember a time she was jailed where she spent longer than 24 hours locked up before getting released. even paris hilton got like, a week, didn't she?
magwildwood 29th-Nov-2012 09:47 pm (UTC)
She did 2 weeks in the summer of 2010. Paris, I think, did a month, maybe 6 weeks? That's why hers was such a big deal, the judge really threw the book at her.

i remember i brought up the paris case in one of my intro law class cause everyone was talking about how celebs are always ABOVE the law.. then i laid that one down and shut the class up. my TA was like oooohh i've never heard that

convenient how it's always "overcrowded" for celebrities.

Fucking L.A.

I live in Atlanta, and it's wayyy different here. First charge ever, like a DUI, gets you at least like 2 days of actual time served. No way would a habitual offender like Lindsay be getting off like she does in L.A. And it seems to be the same for celebrities, given the number of rappers, etc. who have served significant time here.
