Australian singer/songwriter performs Rihanna's hit single "Diamonds", which she wrote, with famed producers Stargate at the Norweigan-American Achievement Award ceremony.
rihanna sings it exactly like sia lmao, not surprising, tho if the song has a demo by someone else and rih ends up taking it, she always sounds like the person who sang it originally
yeah..if they don't like certain parts then they change it but why change anything if you already like it how the demo is? Just to say how you made it yours? She isn't really pretending that it's her song
What is this comment? The demos have sheet music, and when two people read the same notes from the same sheet music, or listen to the same notes, and then sing them, they sound...alike. When people do this on purpose together, it's called a choir.
Now, if you're talking about tone, then you're still wrong, because The Dream's tone's and accent is completely different from the way Rihanna sang the song. I know we all hate Rihanna here, but come on.
Omg that series finale overlaid with that song... I can't. Not only was it the most beautiful scene EVER not just in watching these characters come to and end, but also in terms of how it was shot (the color saturation, wow). I was hysterically sobbing. Ugh, so good.
and it goes without saying that her version is better.
like when jackson browne sings "these days". although he recorded it too so w/e
case in point
like...that's kind of the point of a demo/reference track. most pop singers aren't going to change too much.

That song always leaves me in tears.
No, but seriously, there's a lot in that song. And after reading about Sia and the loss of her boyfriend, makes it that much more emotional.
