'Emily Owens' cancelled by CW

Not a good news day for medical shows.

First Fox decided to not pick up The Mob Doctor for a full season. Now The CW has ruled it will not continue with Emily Owens M.D..

The network will still air all 13 episodes from the original order of the Mamie Gummer dramedy, but that’s it.

The news was expected given the show’s ratings; Emily Owens has been shedding its Hart of Dixie lead in on Tuesday nights this fall. Last night’s episode had only 1 million viewers and a 0.3 rating among adults 18-49. Also, The CW had previously given full-season orders to its two other new dramas, Arrow and Beauty and the Beast.

Next for The CW: Sex and the City prequel series The Carrie Diaries coming Jan. 14.

It was a cute show, but the ratings were awful. Sucks nonetheless.

that was my mistake for Kitchen Confidential. Goodnight, sweet show the only acceptable thing Bradley Cooper did besides Alias.

That show was so damned good. How can they cancel anything with John Cho?
