The Cast of Parks and Recreation: Comedy Lab of the Year
We live in a network-TV landscape where hit shows like 2 Broke Girls behave as if "edgy" comedy means Asian stereotypes and saying vagina multiple times per episode. Then there's the Parks and Rec gang, who thrive instead on jubilant comedy-dork experimentation and have turned the show into a mini SNL-style launching pad. "I think the thing that makes our cast so good," says co-creator Mike Schur, "is they all have very different points of view comedically. There are the improvisers, Amy Poehler and Aubrey Plaza, and then Aziz Ansari is a stand-up, and then Chris Pratt is this lumbering comedy Great Dane. Everyone has their own superpower." But all of the brainy innovations don't add up to much, says Poehler, without actual human emotions. "It's hard to be vulnerable, but it's very important in comedy," she explains. "It can't be something you tag on at the end with a musical montage. You have to earn it."

I'm so glad I gave this show a second chance
I tried it again a few weeks ago and I'm all caught up and immersed in the fandom
I actually love all the characters equally! <3
idk anything about her irl though
They play it kind of coy and tough and like they don't care-- but they're really caring and sweet when you least expect it.
My boyfriend says I hate her character on Parks & Rec because I'm just like her. Rude.
She's making me sweat.
