We’re still trying to wrap our heads around the idea that we’ve lived long enough to see beloved TGIF sitcom ‘Boy Meets World’ come, go, and as of last week create interest in returning as sequel series ‘Girl Meets World.’ We also heard that The Disney Channel had begun talks with series stars Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel to reprise the roles of Cory and Topanga, but what other past stars could return? And which former star wants to return to a role they were once cut out of?


Fan speculation has run rampant ever since The Disney Channel confirmed its intent to revive classic sitcom ‘Boy Meets World’ as a spin-off focusing on Cory and Topanga’s pre-teen daughter. So far, we’ve only heard that Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel have been approached about the series, though neither have confirmed anything just yet. Could other former ‘Boy Meets World’ stars be in the mix?

While plenty of fans will keep hope that Rider Strong (Shawn), Will Friedle (Eric) or William Daniels (Feeny!) could appear on the revived series, former ‘Boy Meets World’ star Lily Nicksay wants in on the action. TMZ recently spoke to the now-24 year-old actress, who originated the role of Cory’s younger sister Morgan Matthews, and now says “I’d love to talk [to Disney] about being a part of it.”

Nicksay was the first to play young Morgan in the initial two seasons, before the character was absent a number of season 3 episodes, and finally appeared with the older Lindsay Ridgeway in the role. Should Nicksay be asked to return for ‘Girl Meets World,’ she would presumably resume the same role.
