Rob 'disses' 1D: He would rather join Westlife

OMG! Two of the world’s biggest superpowers are at loggerheads, as Rob disses One Direction in a new interview — he reveals that he is not a fan of their music. Ouch!

They have many things in common, including screaming fans and worldwide success, but Robert Pattinson and One Direction will not be bonding over their similar lifestyles any time soon, as Rob admits that he is NOT a fan of One Direction’s music. In a new interview, he said that he would not like to be a member of the band. Is he crazy?!

In a hilarious new interview, Rob was asked which band would he rather join – Westlife or One Direction? Rob’s response was pretty funny, as he admitted that he has never listened to One Direction’s music!

Rob said that he would rather join “Westlife, definitely.” He continued, “Westlife are one of my favorite bands. I actually don’t know any songs that One Direction have done. I’ve just seen pictures of them”.

Eh, does Rob live under a rock? One Direction are taking over the world, so it seems pretty crazy that he has never heard a 1D song. Rob should get their album – he’s missing out!

As for his favorite band Westlife — they are notorious for singing sappy love songs. Perhaps that is what he and Kristen Stewart listen to when they have romantic nights in!

if you don't listen to pop radio stations, it's actually really easy to never hear even the most overexposed pop acts. I've never heard a Justin Beiber song, and seems like he's just as famous as One Direction.

That actually makes a lot of sense. I rarely ever listen to the radio...I mainly listen to jazz, CCM or oldies; so of course, I wouldn't know about any new artists unless I go online.

The only song I've ever heard by Bieber is Baby and that's because it played over the end credits of a movie, I think. I remember completely unironically asking who the girl was singing and my friend's little sister managing to tell me who it was through the laughter.

I haven't heard a 1D song, though.

Yup. The only reason I know one or two songs of Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift is because I have a student who loves them.

I also have another student who is a huge Britney fan because of X-Factor, so he will sing songs and I'll be correcting him because damn, I think I know her old songs more than him.

One Direction's What Makes You Beautiful (or whatev it's called) is played on the radio at my part-time job and it took me weeks to notice that it was their famous hit because the radio does become white noise.

I just discovered last weekend that they had been playing two Adele tracks for over a year and I didn't recognize until Sunday. I honestly thought I'd gone my whole life without hearing Adele.

Pretty much. If you weren't the type to watch television, listen to the radio, look at gossip sites - you'd probably rarely, if ever, hear a one direction song.
