Hilary Duff: 'Lizzie McGuire' Casting Director Changed My Life!



Hilary Duff dons a “Viva” sweater while grabbing some to-go food at Kate Mantilini on Sunday (November 25) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The day before, the 25-year-old actress tweeted, “Just ran into the wonderful casting director who cast me in Lizzie McGuire at the dog park. Funny how one person can change your whole life!”

LOL, I remember her saying that all the other blonde girls in line were dressed plainly and that her *special* fashion sense helped her secure the role?

BTW, is is true that she and Hailey often auditioned for the same parts? I remember reading back in the day that they both auditioned for Lizzie, which would have been awkward as heck.

I don't think Haylie did, but hilary did audition for Daddio in 2000. But apparently the ratings were so bad the first episode, they didn't move on with it.

I remember reading something that Hailey was the one who was into acting, but Hilary thought it was lame until she tagged along.

I'm part of National Success and Leadership Society or whatever and they'll do interviews with celebs and put them online. They talked to her and she said that.

I feel a bit bad, there are so many stories of older siblings perusing a hobby or sport with their young siblings tagging along and eventually becoming more successful than the child who had the passion and interest first :/
