BBC keeps with tradition, releases horribly photoshopped Doctor Who promo

The newest promotional poster for this year's Doctor Who Christmas special, "The Snowmen", has been released.

Synopsis from the BBC:
Starring Matt Smith as the Doctor and introducing Jenna-Louise Coleman as Clara, his new companion, this year’s Christmas Special is called The Snowmen and follows their adventures as they battle the villainous Doctor Simeon (Richard E Grant) and his army of sinister snowmen.

The prequel to the episode and its official trailer were released November 17, for Children in Need. "The Snowmen" will air on BBC1 on Christmas Day.

What do you think, ONTD? I think it's horrible in that very special way only BBC photoshop can be, but I'm excited to meet Clara.

The "Woman in the Refrigerator" special with Dumblescrooge made me actually throw up.

I especially liked how the Doctor didn't even make sure that Kazran let the other frozen people out.

lol.

I also really liked how apparently it didn't break the laws of time travel for the Doctor to just use his Tardis to go back in time and fuck with Kazran's life to change him.

Also, is there not an EASIER WAY?

Like, I know he doesn't like guns but River'll hold one for him.

Oh wait was that one last Christmas? Then I totally did watch that and chose to forget it was so recent.

Last Christmas was the Narnia episode with the forest and enchanted trees or... whatever. idk, I checked out pretty early on in the episode.

lmao ikr. That was one of those weird episodes where I sort of went along for the ride when I was watching it, and then by the end I was like, "wait, what the fuck did I just witness?"

It was terrible. Like, the plot was... like... none existent, it was all senseless and offensive! A prime fucking example of Moffat's ability to only use women as milestones in men's lives or as tools to advance their man stories.
celtic_thistle 27th-Nov-2012 12:47 am (UTC)
lmao I didn't even bother watching that one.

Consider yourself a lucky person.

It took me months to even finish series six. It was so fucking bad.

I like, sucked it up and caught up over a couple days about a month ago, but I couldn't get past Vampires in Venice for like....a year.

That episode OH MY GOD FUCK. I wondered if I only disliked the newest incarnation of DW since I went DIRECTLY from Ten's regeneration into series five--but no, no, it just sucked/sucks.

The ONLY episode of DW that's memorable since Moffat took over is Vincent and the Doctor. THE ONLY ONE.

Vincent and the Doctor was great! I sort of liked the.... WWII Daleks too, but like -- Moffatt was so much better at those stand-alone ones. He should have stayed with the show in that capacity.

Vincent and the Doctor is fantastic. That's by far one of my favorite episodes, mostly because it combines my two loves, Doctor Who and Van Gogh.

I cry every time when they're all in the museum at the end and the guy is talking about how amazing Van Gogh is!

i never finished and just skipped to the last two eps because it was awful *sorry not sorry*
