Liz & Dick debuts with 3.5 million viewers



LOS ANGELES, CA (November 26, 2012) – The Lifetime Original Movie Liz & Dick, starring Lindsay Lohan as Elizabeth Taylor and Grant Bowler as Richard Burton, averaged 3.5 million Total Viewers in its world premiere last night, according to Nielsen Research. Based on the true story of the iconic couple’s passionate and tumultuous love affair, the film averaged 1.3 million Adults 25-54 viewers, 1.3 million Adults 18-49 viewers, 1.1 million Women 18-49 viewers and 1.0 million Women 25-54 viewers, with a 2.8 Household rating.

Liz & Dick ranks as 2012’s fourth most-watched original movie premiere on ad-supported cable among all key demographics, including Total Viewers, Adults 25-54, Adults 18-49, Women 18-49 and Women 25-54, behind Lifetime’s Steel Magnolias, Drew Peterson: Untouchable and Abducted: The Carlina White Story (excluding miniseries).

Versus 2012 to-date Lifetime original movies, Liz & Dick was up by double-digit margins across the board, including +40% among Total Viewers, +52% in Women 18-49, +41% with Adults 18-49, +22% in Women 25-54 and +18% among Adults 25-54.

the movie was a mess. just like every other lifetime movie to exist (except the client list). and lilo wasn't the worst part about it. i still enjoyed it tho obvs.

this is the first movie she's done since 2009. and i'm not counting machete since she wasn't a big part of that. so i wasn't expecting anything spectacular. i was hoping, but i was realistic. i think the script and directing was horrendous. and not that i know anything about the writer/director but what's their excuse for making something SO BAD? if it was a legit good movie and she was the worst part about it, i would say it. but she was not the worst thing about that movie.

and as i said in another comment. i have never seen a liz taylor movie, so my opinion isn't that she portrayed liz taylor correctly. she still had good moments. i liked her during all the weird after life interview scenes.
