I felt like some days she showed up to set semi-ready to try and other days she was so hungover she just spoke her lines, her accent dropped from like line to line.

The table flipping scene really drove home how much she wasn't trying. We all know she can do better.

aquaricom 26th-Nov-2012 09:52 pm (UTC)
Lindsay shouldve of taken her rage-y scenes to another level but she didnt, and thats when I thought her acting chops where visibly lacking.

But then again, I think it could of easily backfired and turned into over-acting clownery because you can't really reason with legions of people tuning in solely to call this movie shit before they even see it.

I thought their performances were alright, biggest fucking gripe hands down was the pacing and how choppy it was.
nanewt011 26th-Nov-2012 09:54 pm (UTC)
and the script, don't forget that masterpiece!
aquaricom 26th-Nov-2012 10:14 pm (UTC)
the script, the decision to make the reminiscing ghost narration thingies (fucking weird)...

They did very well with what they had.

People slam the Star Wars Prequels for being awful, and everyone knows Lucas was a turd with how he handled his creative decisions... but Natalie Portman did great and Ewan Mcgregor acted LIKE A FUCKING CHAMP despite what they were dealt with.

The eagerness to rip on actors for Liz&Dick is just indicative of the comfort zone the public has about calling Lindsay Lohan trash.

vee_bot 26th-Nov-2012 10:06 pm (UTC)
the overall terribleness of the whole thing out shined the acting for me. The music, the editing, the way the scenes were framed, the script, the props... it was a HOT. MESS.
amontillado 26th-Nov-2012 11:47 pm (UTC)
The editing was the absolute worst. It was put together horribly, even for a lifetime movie; like, Lindsay wasn't great by any stretch, but the amateur hour production made the performances seem fifty times more terrible than they actually were.
darkwarrior 26th-Nov-2012 09:52 pm (UTC)
Jesus, she's gone down to porn star level of acting.
hobnailedboots 27th-Nov-2012 08:22 pm (UTC)
she just wants to make James Deen feel comfortable
anna_bea2 26th-Nov-2012 09:52 pm (UTC)
the gifs I've been seeing on here and on tumblr tell me every thing I need to know about this movie tbh
sanditar 26th-Nov-2012 09:53 pm (UTC)
Tried for like 10 minutes, didn't like it, it wasn't good-bad, just bad-bad so I watched a couple of old episodes of SVU instead.
caulifloral 26th-Nov-2012 09:53 pm (UTC)
LOL WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS

You can clearly see where they attempted to ~seamlessly fuse~ the top half of LiLo's face with a model's jaw/upper body. The base model isn't even tilting her head at the right angle.
ellenelles 26th-Nov-2012 10:01 pm (UTC)
yikes
cluelessraf 26th-Nov-2012 09:53 pm (UTC)
Damn, this movie got boring fast! I hated how badly they told this story, it was so jumbled it didn't flow at all. One scene she was in a hotel with people the next she's in the hospital without any explanation as to why she was there.
mmbien 26th-Nov-2012 09:53 pm (UTC)
i saw a few minutes and fuck, her nails are awful. they look stained or rotten or something. dirty.
