Maybe its because I was half doing homework during the episode, but can someone explain what happened with Quinn?

Is he still in touch with his baby mama, and she was just putting on an act for Saul?
Is he on a side mission w/ Estes, and if the guy who died WAS Abu Nazir, he was going to assassinate Brody...!?

Quinn didn't confront anyone. It's totally within his character to plant that photo and wait for someone to snoop. The cop said sh hadn't talked to Quinn in 4 years when it's obvious that's not true.

According to Criminal Minds (a legit source obvs), that's really common among people who are working under cover. They need to be able to bail quickly if they have to. It's a crash pad until they're able to go back home.

Yeah I didn't find that weird at all. I mean, he did take the sparseness a little seriously, but eh, I get it.

I was also thinking that because Quinn does "wet work" he's basically living a soldier's life.
